We are excited to present an inspiring selection of hand-picked and carefully curated works by many of our respected artists. We are privileged to be able to bring such a comprehensive and varied showcase to the gallery this Christmas and we are certain there will be something for all tastes to discover and take home. Pick up unique and original ceramics, from cups to art sculptures, the broad range of makers will have something for everyone.

At the Hírös Agóra Culture Centre, Kecskemét.

The public can see a slice of the four thousand-piece collection of the Kecskemét Contemporary Art Workshops - INTERNATIONAL CERAMICS STUDIO at the exhibition titled Glimpses. From afar, the silhouettes of colorful figures loom. As we get closer, we can encounter gazes that look out of themselves, sometimes at each other, sometimes straight into nothingness, but not at us by any chance…

Exhibition opening: Hírös Agóra, Chamber Hall, Wednesday, December 18, 5:00 p.m.

Welcome by: Dóra Barta, executive director of Hírös Agóra, and Erika Sütő, head of the International Ceramic Studio.

The exhibition will be opened by: Zsombor Jakab Radics, art writer and poet

Open until January 31, 2025, during the institution's opening hours

JELENLÉT / PRESENCE
Tímea Lantos

Tímea Lantos has been living in Mashiko, Japan for eight years, where every back yard has a traditional wood-fired kiln and sometimes the masters fire the clay objects for seven days. She worked as a trainee at the International Ceramics Studio in Kecskemét, where she experienced the wood-firing technique that has been the basis of her creative work.
