As September quickly approaches, some of you may do a training ride or two on LoToJa’s course. Wherever you choose to train, please think SAFETY FIRST and RESPECT the communities you ride through. Here are five key reminders to always follow:
• Stay to the right side of the road — and especially when sight lines are poor • Do not cross the center line • Ride single file as often as possible and never more than two abreast • Do not impede the normal and reasonable movement of vehicle traffic • Do not litter and please be discrete if bathrooms are not available (even in “remote" areas)

SATURDAY, JULY 11 — Please join us for the 15th running of the Cache Gran Fondo, which has been a favorite training event for LoToJa cyclists. Our 100-mile course offers a beautiful summit climb to get you ready for what is coming up in September, and our 35, 50 and 75-mile courses are great prep for relay team riders. SATURDAY, AUGUST 8 — Come enjoy the Four Peaks Gran Fondo ride in the beautiful Portneuf Valley. Climb to the top of Crystal Summit, Scout Mountain, Pebble Creek, and Buckskin, showcasing the amazing riding in the Pocatello and Inkom areas of Southeast Idaho. This one day event is 82 miles with a total elevation gain of roughly 7300 feet. The hill climb portions are timed with chips; downhill portions are not. Our areas of greatest need are at the feed zones and relay transition zones from Strawberry Summit at the top of the first big climb to the Afton and Alpine feed zones in Star Valley, Wyoming.
