We're all in the same boat - that applies to all topics related to climate change! And of course this is especially true for Lake Neusiedl. Now we can once again show together how important Austria's largest lake is to us as part of our culture, our identity and our everyday lives!
Every rowing stroke, every paddle is a declaration of love for this wonderfully beautiful steppe lake!
At the 3rd LAKEMANIA on May 19, 2024, we will once again share this concern internationally with everyone who can move a boat through wind and waves with muscle power. ALSO WITH YOU! This weekend marks the start of our 3rd Lakemania!
Thank you for joining us and giving the lake your time, your attention and your love. Lakemania is not just an adventurous sea rescue journey through the wild steppe lake. It is also a journey inwards. On this day, you will also rediscover a wonderful person. YOU! Please use this free time, this journey and all the encounters for your personal eternity! And please remember, we are not organizing a race. It's about you, your adventure, your experiences and your commitment to preserving the wonderful Lake Neusiedl! So have the courage to give up, because 42.195 kilometers on the longest route is an extreme challenge and not a compulsory program! You are also welcome to do just a short lap of 17 km or even just a very short lap of 5 km. The best and most important "kilometers" are the meters that we all do together for a good cause and a good time anyway! One thing is clear, for us you and all the other active participants are already true and sincere sea heroes! We wish you all the best for LAKEMANIA 2024!

STARTER PACKAGE DISTRIBUTION & BRIEFING
SATURDAY, MAY 18, 2024 / SEEHOF in RUST, HauptstraĂe 31 Please just come to the Seehof in Rust and pick up your LAKEMANIA 2024 START PACKAGE. The package contains important and very useful things, such as a practical and environmentally friendly reusable drinking cup, your Lakemania certificate, the LAKEMANIA tour guide for your safe navigation through the wild steppe lake, the clearly visible starter jersey and of course the Lakemania safety wristband for free admission to the Seebad Rust on the start day! AND a whistle is also included. Please take it with you to the start, we want to whistle an extremely powerful HELLO to the lake together!
5:30 pm /// Invitation to the reception hosted by the Mayor of the Free City of Rust Gerold Stagl invites all lake rescue heroes to a refreshing drink and snacks!

Here we discuss the tour with you personally and are happy to give you one or two tips for the trip! Important: if you don't have time to pick up your starter pack on this day, please come to our LAKEMANIA INFO STAND in Seebad Rust on the Sunday before the start. We will be there for you from 7:45 am!

LAKEMANIA 2024 // THE JOINT START SUNDAY, MAY 19, 2024 / SEASIDE RESORT RUST Please be in the water on time (no later than 8:45 am) with your boat; meeting point is the area between "BurgenlÀndischer Yacht Club" and Seebad Rust! You can find places for a good and safe launch on our website. Please remember to pack the LAKEMANIA TOURGUIDE, a hand compass, a waterproof mobile phone, provisions (food & drink or money for shopping at the landing sites) and a buoyancy aid/float jacket/PFD for your personal safety! And please also take the whistle from the start package with you... 9:00 am - COMMON START
We row/paddle in all weathers! In the event of storms, hail and lightning we will weather ashore and postpone the start at short notice!
