Message from the Gallery Managers

Art sales for February and March were a bit softer this cycle, with 12 framed pieces and 13 unframed works finding new homes. Even so, it’s encouraging to see continued enthusiasm for our artists’ work during a period of economic uncertainty. Warm congratulations to everyone whose pieces were sold.

The Gallery is delighted to add the fine woodwork of Ben Housiaux to our craft collection. We also extend a warm welcome to new exhibiting artists Wendy Pollard and Pamela Green, as well as to our newest Gallery committee member, Christina Allen.

Meanwhile, the gallery itself has had a little glow‑up. A fresh paint renovation (see below) has brightened and refreshed the entire rear section, giving the space a cleaner, more inviting atmosphere for visitors and artists alike.

Reminder: Replacing Craft

If a craft item is sold while you’re on duty in the Gallery, please check the cupboard beneath the craft plinth for a replacement.

Twilight Event

The Twilight Event introducing our featured artist, Nina Poulton, and featured craft artisan, Melissa Perryman, was held on Monday 30 March and brought together a warm gathering of supporters and visitors. Thank you, Nina and Melissa, for sharing your talents with us. We invite everyone to visit the gallery and experience their wonderful work firsthand.

On the Monday  (3rd August) we have a "Twilight Event" when the featured artists give a talk about their art journey:  Arrival 4pm, for a 4.30pm start, close around 6pm. This is a good opportunity to meet other members over a drink and nibbles. Your family and friends are most welcome.
