End of 2024 and Beginning of 2025
Let’s take a moment to look back at the last day of the past year. In the late afternoon, we organized a New Year's Eve gathering for our guests, featuring traditional Dutch oliebollen, various snacks, and drinks.
Thanks to the wonderful weather, we first enjoyed the celebration in the garden before moving to our cozy outdoor kitchen later in the evening. We, our guests, their children, and even the dogs had a fantastic time.
Around the holidays, we welcome many guests with dogs each year. The tranquility, open space, and beautiful nature make it a true paradise for them as well.
The last days of 2024 and the first days of 2025 were sunny – a wonderful way to end the year and a promising start to the new one.

With the arrival of spring, many people start planning their vacations. Where to go this year? When exactly? And for how long?
Bookings are already coming in, and our calendar is filling up – especially around special dates or regional events. From mid-June to mid-August, the surrounding lavender fields are in full bloom, attracting many visitors every year.
The Lavender Festival in Ferrassières takes place on Sunday, July 6, and the larger Lavender Festival in our neighboring village of Sault will be held on Friday, August 15. Would you like to stay with us during this period? Don’t wait too long to book!

A sporting highlight: The Tour de France! This year, the 16th stage of the Tour de France will finish on Mont Ventoux. On July 22, the peloton will start in Montpellier and climb the "Giant of Provence" via Bédoin. This will be a spectacular event – why not experience it live?

New this year: Painting workshops at the château!
Linda van der Meeren first visited us a few years ago with her dog Cooper. She was going through a difficult time and had set herself the goal of climbing Mont Ventoux by road bike – a personal challenge.
Not only did she achieve her goal, but she also found a wonderful and comfortable retreat here, where she could walk, cycle, and reflect at her own pace.
Since then, Linda has returned several times in different seasons – she finds peace, inspiration, and renewed energy here. In addition to being an athlete, she is also a talented artist: she paints, writes, and creates ceramics.
We are delighted that she will be offering three oil painting workshops at the château this autumn.
From September 22 to October 2, 2025, you will have the opportunity to participate in one or more of these workshops. Linda speaks fluent French, Dutch, and English and has a good command of German as well.
She is an exceptionally gifted artist and has already conducted numerous workshops and courses in her home country of Belgium. More information can be found at: www.lindavandermeeren.com
