| | Do you have an outdoor pool? We’re often asked this. No, we don’t—but our fantastic indoor pool is just as good, if not better. The French doors are fitted with mosquito screens and remain open, so you can walk straight from the sun lounger into the pool and back again. No flies or wasps, and pleasantly cool in summer. Outside on the sun terrace, you’ll also find our jacuzzi, so you can enjoy a soak outdoors too. The biggest advantage of our heated pool? Guests can enjoy it year-round—even in bad weather or winter, at a lovely 28°C. | |

Our beautiful neighbouring village Montbrun-les-Bains, one of France’s most beautiful villages, has become even lovelier. The medieval upper village remains untouched, but the lower, newer part has been tastefully renovated: new paving, charming terraces, elegant landscaping and a covered market hall now complete the picture. On Saturday mornings there’s a small but excellent Provençal market. | |

A new restaurant, Le Détente, has just opened in Ferrassières. We’re thrilled! The previous restaurant, L’Entrepôt, closed in September. Although our neighbouring villages—Sault, Saint-Trinit, and Montbrun—offer plenty of great dining options, it’s extra convenient to have a restaurant right here in our own village. They offer a small menu with something for everyone. They’re still putting the final touches on the decor, but we have every confidence it’ll turn out great. We wish them every success and hope our guests enjoy many delicious meals there. On Tuesday evenings throughout the summer, the area in front of Le Détente turns into a pétanque court, where young and old can play this traditional French game. While you’re there, you can enjoy a drink or a bite—and on Tuesday nights, Coco’s pizza truck is also there, serving delicious pizzas to eat on-site or take away. | |

Reminder – Painting workshop at the château!
In our previous newsletter, we shared a feature about artist Linda van der Meeren, who will be offering an oil painting workshop this September at the château—for both beginners and more advanced participants.
From September 22 to October 2, 2025, you’ll have the chance to join one or more of her workshops. Linda speaks fluent Dutch, French, and English—and she does very well in German too.
